Book a one-off drone day when you need a hero set
Choose this when the scaffold is fully dressed, the demolition has a clear open moment, or you need website and pitch stills now. You get the best available light and angles from that day. You do not automatically get a comparable before frame from three months earlier.

Book progress visits when change over time is the point
Choose this when owners, consultants or your own marketing team need to see the site move. The product is the sequence. Angles stay as consistent as access allows so Mid and Finish can sit beside Start without confusion.
Progress visits can include drone when it helps the record. They are not cheaper drone hire on subscription. They are a visual record product. I explain what that product includes in the monthly progress visits article.
A simple decision test
If you need one excellent gallery next week, book the drone day. If you need a story across the programme, book progress visits. If you need both, say so early. We can plan a stronger Start visit and still schedule Mid and Finish without pretending one flight covers the whole build.
Mixing the briefs on the day without saying so is how you end up with beautiful singles that do not compare, or a tidy sequence with no hero frame for the homepage.
Access and conditions still decide the air work
Either booking still depends on weather, airspace and site access. I operate under CASA's sub-2kg excluded category with RPA Operator Accreditation and registered aircraft. If a one-off hero day loses the afternoon to wind, we reschedule the flight. If a progress visit loses drone that month, we still secure the ground record so the sequence does not break.
