This question comes up on almost every longer scaffolding, demolition or construction job I work on: how often should the site actually be documented? There's no single right answer, but there is a wrong one, treating it as an afterthought and shooting whenever someone remembers. The right cadence depends mostly on two things: how long the build runs, and who's actually watching the content.
Match the cadence to the build length
A job running four to six weeks doesn't need much more than a start and finish visit, maybe one in the middle if there's a genuinely visual milestone. A build running three months or longer is a different story: monthly visits give you enough separation between shoots that each one shows real, visible change, which is what makes progress content worth watching in the first place. Weekly is almost always overkill unless the client specifically wants a detailed internal record rather than marketing content.
