Both of these get booked through the same enquiry form, and I get asked fairly often which one a business should actually go for. There isn't a universal answer, it comes down to three things: how much time is on site, how many separate pieces of content actually come out of it, and where that content is going to end up being used.

Scope and duration

A one-off shoot is scoped around a single result, a drone pass over a finished site, one installation showcase video, one photo set. It's usually a shorter visit built around getting that one thing right. A content day is longer and more heavily planned, a full session on site or in-store, shot with a specific batch of short-form videos in mind from the start rather than one hero piece.

What actually comes out of it

This is the clearest practical difference. A one-off shoot produces one finished deliverable, maybe two if there's a natural still-and-video pairing. A content day is built to produce several separate, independently usable pieces from the same visit, a mix of clips planned around different angles, different moments and different formats, so one day on site turns into weeks of content rather than a single post.

Where the content needs to live

This is often the deciding factor. If the goal is one strong asset for a website, a sales deck or a single campaign, a one-off shoot is the right scope, there's no need to pay for volume you won't use. If the goal is an ongoing stream of content across social platforms that actually need regular posting to stay active, a content day makes far more sense, since it's built from the outset to cover multiple platforms and formats rather than one.
